Heat applied to a ribbon prints an image on the label material. Usually used for variable information printing such as barcodes and tracking numbers.
Use 3M™ High Temperature Resistant Label Material 3921 where a high durability and superb resistance against high application temperatures is required. Our acrylic based label material is resistant to outdoor weathering, UV light and many solvents, as well as being dimensionally stable. The matt white facestock provides a very good contrast, which leads to a high first readability rate; even on high density barcodes. It’s designed to survive solder reflow processes and is recommended for the production of printed labels for thermal transfer applications. It’s UL recognised and CSA accepted.
