3M™ DBI-SALA® Davit Offset Arm is designed for manhole and confined space entry/retrieval applications. The davit arm is constructed of lightweight materials including high-strength aluminium. The davit pivots for ease-of-rescue and has adjustment for overhead clearance restrictions. The Davit Arm adjusts to fit many standard entries. Many other portable and fixed bases are available to suit any job site need.
Use 3M™ DBI-SALA® Davit Arms with 3M™ DBI-SALA® Davit Bases as part of a confined space rescue and work support system. Our davit assembly is constructed primarily of custom extruded aluminium, and finished in a mixture of hi visibility green and gloss black powder coatings. The assembly features a modular design, allowing it to be separated into multiple pieces for easy transport and storage. This modular makeup also enables seamless interchangeability between long and short reach davit arm assemblies. The davit arm height and reach are both adjustable, and securely locked using detent pins which are attached using retracting pin lanyards that help prevent breaks and snags. New design makes the davit height adjustment process two times faster than previous 3M™ DBI SALA® models. Four independent anchorage locations are available and certified to EN795:2012 for fall arrest. Multiple user fall arrest is supported for up to two users weighing 140 kg each, meeting the requirements of CEN/TS 16415:2013. Material handling capabilities are made possible by meeting the requirements of the machinery directive for manually operated lifting 2006/42EC. Capacity is granted up to 205 kg in mobile bases, and 340 kg in fixed bases when suitable devices are equipped. Rescue is also made possible meeting the requirements of EN1496:2012 when used with approved 3M rescue devices. All 3M™ DBI SALA® HC bases are designed to be used in combination with 3M™ DBI SALA® HC Davit Masts, and together form a perfectly matched confined space rescue and work support system. When it comes to confined space entry/rescue, it's essential that equipment operates perfectly and quickly. 3M has an extensive line of rescue and retrieval systems with decades of proven field service.
