3M™ Charge-Collection Solar Tape 3011 consists of a 28 g (1-oz) tin-plated deadsoft copper foil backing with a PET cover sheet and an electrically conductive, pressure-sensitive adhesive. This high-temperature adhesive is ideal for use in thin film solar applications requiring x, y and z-axis conductivity.
The 3M™ Charge-Collection Solar Tape 3011 and 3011B are designed for use as a charge collector or bus within thin-film solar modules. These tapes can be applied at high speeds using automation equipment. Since there is no soldering of connections or curing required (as with liquid conductive adhesives) they allow for high productivity during panel manufacturing. The addition of a cover tape can provide improved electrical performance and/or improved cosmetic appearance in many vacuum lamination processes used in solar module manufacturing.
