3M™ Plastic Bonding Adhesive 2665B is a one-component, moisture curing, urethane adhesive that is applied warm. This low viscosity adhesive has a long open time and is ideal for bonding plastics. Yields thin glue lines when used with appropriate equipment. High performance for a wide range of consumer electronics because of tough flexible bond lines help improve fit, appearance, and reliability. High strength bonds plastics and metals, dissimilar substrates, and even hard-to-bond plastics such as polycarbonate. Improved appearance without the whitening from cyanoacrylate and cracking from ultrasonic welding.

Formulated Specifically for Bonding Plastics
Excellent for use in manufacturing processes where lightweighting requirements and complex geometries demand plastic components, our 3M™ Plastic Bonding Adhesive 2665 bonds plastic substrates including ABS, polycarbonate, acrylic and PVC. This one-part urethane adhesive delivers a very high tack and a strong final bond, and resists humidity and temperature extremes.

Efficient Application
3M™ Plastic Bonding Adhesive 2665 is packaged in a 33cc syringe which can be easily heated to application temperature (230°F/110°C). Low-viscosity adhesive affords a working time between 1.5 and 4 minutes, and is reworkable after moisture curing. It can also be dispensed using a time-pressure dispenser system with Luer-Lok needle tips, or using a positive displacement or gear metering valve to yield thin glue lines.

Benefits of Plastic Bonding Adhesive
3M™ Plastic Bonding Adhesive 2665 is suitable for many applications that have traditionally required welding or riveting. The use of plastic components allows for greater design flexibility. The adhesive eliminates the chance of rust or damage to metal substrates at the rivet point, and it allows the bearing load to be spread across the entire substrate instead of concentrated on a rivet or weld. Also, many adjacent parts that must be removed to avoid damage from welding can remain installed when bonding.

Better Science for Better Adhesives from 3M
Since 1925 when one of our lab assistants invented masking tape, 3M has been applying science to life –developing adhesive products and technologies that help entire industries and individual businesses worldwide. The work that began with a single 3M engineer now spans decades and generations. And all of it goes into each of our industrial labeling and adhesive products like 3M™ Plastic Bonding Adhesive 2665, to help businesses like yours operate faster, better and more efficiently.
