The 3M™ Taping Wand is an easy-to-use tool to help locate and achieve wet-out for 3M™ Acrylic Foam Tapes at a constant offset distance. This tool is designed to help technicians achieve greater accuracy while boosting productivity when applying tape to exterior trim parts.
Used for the location and wet-out of 3M™ Acrylic Foam Tapes
When applying 3M™ Acrylic Foam Tapes, you can rely on the 3M™ Taping Wand to help position the tape at a consistent offset distance from a specified point on the body of the vehicle. This tool helps eliminate wandering or wavy applications of tape that can occur if complete wet-out is not achieved. Using the 3M™ Taping Wand is helpful in the application of body side moldings, wheel flares and appliques.

The 3M taping wand helps promote more complete "wet out," which helps ensure a more effective bond between surface and tape. "Wetting out" means the adhesive flows and covers a surface to maximize the contact area to create a secure bond.
