3M™ Double Coated Tape 9579 is a double-coated and conformable taping solution that allows hand-tearing applications while offering strong holding power on difficult surfaces like low surface energy substrates. Made with 3M™ Synthetic Rubber Adhesive 760, the product tolerates elevated temperature environments with short-term use at a temperature up to 150 °F (66 °C) or long-term use withstanding up to 120 °F (49 °C). Designed with a robust 9 mils tape thickness and high-stick adhesive, it securely grabs onto a variety of substrates, including metal, plastics, and glass within a range of applications in general industrial, converter solutions, MRO, packaging, metalworking, crafts, signage, construction, and many other industries. 3M™ Double Coated Tape 9579 tape offers a pressure-sensitive adhesive on each side of the carrier, providing instant handling and can also be used for core starting and end tabbing on metal rolls.

High-tack, hand tearable double coated film tape with a pressure sensitive adhesive on each side of the carrier. The medium-firm synthetic rubber adhesive features very high adhesion to a variety of surfaces, good shear holding power and offers one-piece removal from most substrates. Application idea: core starting on metal cores.
