Tapered Cone Points can attach to mandrels of varying lengths to match applications

Access to Hard-to-Reach Areas
Standard Abrasives™ Aluminum Oxide Tapered Cone Point enables users to access hard-to-reach areas and internal diameters, as well as deburr holes in the workpiece. The cone shape distinguishes it from cartridge rolls, which have a cylindrical shape.

Often used in critical production and maintenance operations, as well as low-pressure blending, polishing, cleaning and deburring, tapered Cone Points offer easy accessibility to tight areas for more precise grinding. Tapered Cone Points can attach to mandrels of varying lengths to match the application. The sizing codes are:

  • K-110: 1 x .18 inch
  • F-60: 1.5 x .62 inch
  • B-20: 1.5 x .31 inch
  • C-30: 2 x .37 inch
  • D-40: 2.5 x .4375 inch
Often used in critical production and maintenance operations, as well as low-pressure blending, polishing, cleaning and deburring, tapered Cone Points offer easy accessibility to tight areas for more precise grinding.
Ideal for fast cutting on irregular contours and other hard-to-reach areas

The Benefits of Aluminum Oxide Mineral
Standard Abrasives™ Aluminum Oxide Tapered Cone Point is made with aluminum oxide, which fragments under heat and pressure to reveal sharp cutting edges. Aluminum oxide is often paired with ferrous metals and composites and is also used on fiberglass and plastic. It cuts aggressively without gouging or marring the substrate, maintaining original part geometry and reducing the need for rework.

With up to 1,000 tapered cone points per case, the number of replacement orders may be reduced, helping minimize operating costs. Available in a range of sizes and grades — users can find a point that is tailored to fit their unique project needs.
