3M™ Interam™ Mat Mount 1700HF securely holds ceramic monoliths across a wide temperature range for applications in which an non-intumescent solution is preferred. This mat combines high performance with a high holding force to resist vibration conditions.

• Ultra-thin wall monoliths
• Close coupled or manifold mounted converters
• Diesel applications

Mats that Meet Expectations
Our mat mount products are used to secure the ceramic monolith inside the converter. Resembling a felt-like blanket, the mat expands and increases its holding force as converter temperature rises. These products feature patented materials that combine the high temperature durability of ceramic fiber (alumina silicate) with the high temperature intumescent characteristics of vermiculite to provide the heat shielding and holding power that are required.
