Standard Abrasives™ PSA Rubber Disc Holder Pads allow you to quickly and easily change Standard Abrasives™ PSA discs (sold separately) during multi-step projects.
How Holder Pads Help
Our Standard Abrasives™ PSA Rubber Disc Holder Pad was designed to accommodate Standard Abrasives™ PSA Discs (PDF, 2.9 Mb) during multi-step projects. Holder pads act like conduits between abrasive discs and tools — valuable connectors that speed the process.
Disc pad holders are used in many industrial applications, because they help expedite the grinding, deburring, cleaning and finishing processes by making disc and tool attachment swift and easy. Rather than being required to use special tools to manipulate the fastening of the disc to the tool, users can simply use a holder pad. Holder pads are especially useful when there are many discs in a sequence, taking the sweat and fuss out of swapping disc.
Pressure-Sensitive Adhesive for Easy Stick-On Attachment
Our Standard Abrasives™ PSA Aluminum Oxide Disc is a high-quality coated abrasive product with a special pressure-sensitive adhesive coating. That adhesive coating easily attaches to the holder pad, eliminating the need for a mechanical attachment. The PSA holder pad is lightweight and reduces operator fatigue and wear on air tools, providing fast and smooth handling at high-rated RPMs.
The holder pad is flex tested, meaning it is highly flexible and able to conform to the substrate; it won't skid or bump across the workpiece. A flexible holder pad helps reduce the level of vibration that results from friction between the abrasive and workpiece, subsequently alleviating operator fatigue. The holder pads come in different sized diameters and can accommodate different shank lengths. In this way, the holder pad is versatile and can be tailored to meet your unique project needs.
Even better, the special adhesive backing on the PSA disc provides excellent adhesion to the pad but leaves little adhesive residue, minimizing mess and cleanup. Now, with an easy adhesive solution, users can quickly prep for their application without wasting time and energy on disc attachment.
