3M™ Acrylic Foam Tape 4218P, Dark Gray, 1.12 mm, Red Printed Liner is an automotive trim attachment tape that brings robust performance and shear strength to a wide range of automotive applications. With its dark gray, 1.12 mm closed-cell acrylic foam core, it provides stress relaxation under load, making it a great choice for a wide variety of automotive surfaces.

With two adhesives on 3M™ Acrylic Foam Tape 4218P, Dark Gray, 1.12 mm, Red Printed Liner, one on each side, it helps ensure effective bonding of automotive trim and other parts. The liner-side adhesive is specifically formulated for bonding to rigid clearcoat systems. The non-liner side performs well with adhesion promoter on automotive trim materials. The viscoelastic foam core conforms well even to complex geometries. This tape is made for stress relaxation when exposed to high stress loads and maintains bond line aesthetics under normal stress loads. The properties of this tape make it an excellent choice for spoilers, rocker panels and other automotive parts. Use with 3M™ Automotive Adhesion Promoter 06396 for tape-to-part adhesion on all parts, especially on plastics such as RIM, TPO, PPO, PP and PC.
