Highlights
  • Micron-graded diamond mineral delivers a range of surface finishes and stock removal
  • Polyester film backing is durable, and can be run with coolant
  • Hook and loop attachment maximizes productivity
  • Finish reduction on a variety of hard materials

Designed with a durable polyester film backing and diamond mineral, 3M™ Hookit Diamond Microfinishing Film Disc 675L provides fast finish reduction on hard materials including thermal spray coatings, ceramics, carbides, chilled iron, granite and others. A hook-and-loop attachment system makes attachment swift and simple.

High-Performance Abrasives for High-Performance Parts
We engineered the 3M™ Hookit™ Diamond Microfinishing Film Disc 675L with micron-graded diamonds on a 5 and 6 mil polyester film backing to be effective on hard-to-grind materials.

The automotive and aerospace industries in particular are embracing these materials and driving the demand for greater manufacturing efficiencies and increasingly critical tolerances.

3M™ Hookit™ Diamond Microfinishing Film Discs 675L is available in grades 125 and 74 micron to refine surfaces and 45, 30, 20 and 9 micron for finer finishes. We offer the disc in a range of grades, so operators can choose a disc that's tailored to their unique project needs.

Polyester-Backed Diamond Abrasive May Be Run Wet or Dry
The uniform caliper of this polyester film backing supports both uniform finishes and aggressive cut rates. It is tear-resistant and non-compressible.

The polyester backing is water-resistant, as well, so the disc may be run with coolant if desired. Coolant is a desirable component for diamond polishing, since it efficiently cools both the work and the abrasive. Adding a lubricant like water can help keep this disc running cool and extend abrasive life.

Focus On the Task, Not the Tooling, With Hookit
Our 3M Hookit™ hook-and-loop attachment system allows the operator to focus more on the task and less on tooling. 3M™ Hookit™ products are manufactured with loop material that attaches to a backup pad (sold separately), where tiny hooks firmly engage the loops.

Attachment is quick, easy and secure during use. Sanding, finishing and surface conditioning products with the hook-and-loop attachment and removal system are efficient for working through multi-step finishing processes. Abrasive products with a Hookit attachments can be used again and again for the life of the abrasive, unlike pressure-sensitive adhesive attachments.
