Highlights
  • Overlapped construction compresses contact with internal radii, holes, and cylinder walls
  • Sets of 2 discs are used for push applications while 4 discs are used for push and pull
  • Stacked discs supply a firm, aggressive cut
  • Useful for light to medium deburring, polishing, cleaning, blending and chamfering applications
  • Effective on all steels, rubber, plastic and composites
  • Cloth backing provides added durability to resist tearing and fraying
  • Compatible Standard Abrasives™ Mandrels are available separately

The Standard Abrasives™ Aluminum Oxide Overlap Disc compresses when entering a hole or cylinder to provide coverage of inside diameters. Used for push and push/pull applications, it is useful for mainly for deburring applications on steel, rubber, plastic and composites. It features a threaded eyelet arbor hole for mandrel attachment.

Coverage of Internal Diameters
For internal diameters that require increased coverage over a cross pad, our Standard Abrasives™ Aluminum Oxide Overlap Disc is a good option. The overlapping construction makes the disc flexible so that the operator can push it into a hole or tube and achieve full contact with internal diameters. Discs with four layers achieve abrasive action in both push and pull directions.

Aluminum Oxide for Metals, Rubber, Plastic and Composites
Aluminum oxide discs are a good match for operators who desire an all-purpose versatility and economy. The mineral cuts fast while blending and deburring and is a good choice for applications on many substrates including ferrous metals, rubber, plastic and composites.

Running an Overlap Disc
For the convenience of tool-free disc changes, our overlap discs have a threaded eyelet arbor hole that screws onto a mandrel and is secured by hand with an attachment bolt (both available separately). A shorter mandrel allows for a steadier application, while a mandrel with extended reach allows access deeper into pipe interiors. Compatible threaded Standard Abrasives™ Mandrels are available separately with thread sizes of 8-32, 3-48, and 1/4-20. An extended version is available with 8-32 threads.
