3M™ Shrouded Boardmount Header 452 Series maximizes design flexibility while minimizing PCB footprint for ribbon cable connections. Its .050 in. pitch delivers higher connection density in smaller spaces – allowing for many more connections per board and less cost per assembly. Unlike many other connectors the header features a true half-size board footprint, so it integrates easily into designs using the industry standard .100 in. for headers and sockets.

A complete space-saving solution
3M™ Shrouded Boardmount Header 452 Series mates with the 3M™ Ribbon Cable Wiremount Socket 451 Series. The standard shrouded header protects pins and features center slot for polarization. It is available in multiple position counts up to 50. A standard shrouded header helps protect pins and features center slot for polarization, with or without optional friction latches which help reduce overall connection time and help prevent accidental disconnections yet allow for easy ejection of the socket when needed.
The 3M header 452 series is available in vertical mount, right angle mount, thru-hole and SMT configurations, and works with several 3M cables. Available 30 μ" Au and Au flash available plating versions allow for various mating/unmating cycles. Optional strain relief helps guard against damage, especially against cable pulls.
