The 3M™ Twisted Pair Flat Cable, 1700 Series is a twisted pair ribbon cable that helps reduce crosstalk in balanced drive applications. This cable features .050" 28 AWG stranded wire for flexibility and extended cable life and can be mass terminated to a broad range of IDC connectors. Repeated color-coded wires allow for easy identification and tracing. PVC insulation and carrier, and 7-strand construction provides durability. Manufactured in North America, this cable features 10-color twist and flat repeat with variable length option for simpler and more efficient connection.
A: Clear PVC Carrier
B: Tinned Stranded Copper Conductors
3M Twisted Pair Flat Cable 1700 Series allows for Insulation Displacement Connection (IDC) termination which features from 6 to 64 contacts. Technicians can make stable metal-to-metal contact through cover and primary insulation for all contacts simultaneously.
Save time and simplify logistics. Source 3M cables and 3M connectors together. Use our Cable Mating Guide to find the right combinations for you.
