The 3M™ IDC Ribbon Cable Socket, 891 Series is an IDC ribbon cable connector that offers excellent performance and convenience for wire-to-board connection applications. With its preassembled design, this socket allows for faster and more efficient termination compared to two-piece sockets in cable assemblies.

The sword packaging on 3M™ IDC Ribbon Cable Socket, 891 Series helps ensure easy loading for both manual and semi-automatic assembly equipment. The double-recessed cover allows you to terminate cables from either side, eliminating the need for single-recessed cover connectors. The 3M IDC socket, 891 series is made of high-quality glass-filled polyester (PBT) insulation material, providing excellent insulation properties and ruggedness, and is available with a double-sided adhesive pull tab for effortless unplugging. With a pitch of 0.1 in. / 2.54 mm, this socket is compatible with ribbon cables, making it a great choice for a wide range of needs. Its polarizing key and strain relief help ensure proper alignment and durability, and its gray insulation color adds a sleek, professional finish to wire-to-board connections. It is UL 94V-0 rated, China RoHS and RoHS 2011/65/EU compliant.
