3M™ DMD High Performance Laminate is designed for insulating motors and generators. It offers excellent dielectric and varnish absorption characteristics as well as low moisture absorption.

Ideal for slot cell, phase and wedge insulation, the conjunction of the inorganic filled resin system and 2 layers of the polyester film make 3M™ DMD High Performance Laminate suitable for major high temperature applications. It exhibits optimized thermal conductivity, long term voltage endurance and coil bonding characteristics. The tear initiation and cut through resistant polyester film reinforcement are excellent for automatic insertion and heavy duty winding operations. 3M™ DMD180® High-Performance Flexible Laminate is approved for use as major ground insulation in electrical insulation systems through Class 180(R) per UL 1446 and IEC Std. 60085. 3M™ DMD100 High-Performance Flexible Laminate & 3M™ DMD70 High Performance Flexible Laminate are approved for use as major ground insulation in electrical insulation systems through Class 155(R) per UL 1446 and IEC Std. 60085. 3M Innovative Paper Technologies UL Recognized Insulation Systems may be found on UL’s Electrical Insulation Systems database at http.//database.ul.com/systems/.
