3M(TM) Low Outgassing Aesthetic Solar Tape 8006 can generally be used for splicing and applications where chemical resistance and/or clean removal is necessary. The silver backing is transparent polyester with a thin layer of aluminum and the gold is pigmented polyester with a thin layer of aluminum.
