3M™ On Demand Bonding System: 3M™ On Demand Bonding System featuring 3M™ VHB™ Extrudable Tape involves a simple, automation-ready system that enables design, material and process flexibility bonding solution that provides robust PSA performance and immediate handling strength, combining the advantages of tapes and liquid adhesives.
Assembly applications:
This variable-ratio, positive rod displacement, meter-mix dispense system has dual independent-drive servo motors to accurately meter materials. The ratio is adjusted in the operator interface, and the system dispenses precision volumetric shots or bead profiles.
Assembly applications:
Rubber application roller to apply coating directly to a part passing through the machine. The coating thickness is varied by the doctor roll pressing against the applicator roll, which uses variable speed and direction capabilities to apply coatings with precise control of adhesive coating weight.
Assembly applications:
One-shot 3D Measuring Macroscope combines the advanced optical design of a digital microscope with high-speed, high-accuracy measurement and 3D technology. This new technology captures 3D data over a wide area with just a click of a button, eliminates measurement variation and provides a variety of measurements such as profiling, volume and roughness.
Assembly applications:
PURBlue 4 adhesive melters efficiently process PUR, from two-, three- or four-kilogram foil-encased slugs or form-liner slugs with foil bottoms. PURBlue melters provide the ability to easily use small volumes of PUR for increased productivity and reduced adhesive waste.
Assembly applications:
Automatically apply a wide variety of 3M™ VHB™ Tapes to flat surfaces and square tubes. Tape strips can be applied continuously or in strips with gaps, as required. The 3M VHB Tape is applied with pressure immediately thereafter. The tape is cut flush or at a pre-set distance from either end.
Assembly applications:
Apply a wide variety of 3M™ VHB™ Tapes or other pressure sensitive tapes to flat surfaces. Tape can be applied continuously or in a pattern.

RoboTape: The RoboTape System for traditional 3M™ VHB™ Tapes is designed to place, press, and cut to achieve a successful tape application. The uniquely designed application tape head increases the flexibility and capability to apply tape in complex geometries and contours while commanding a small floor footprint.
Assembly applications:
"The customer feedback about the 3M Bonding Process Center in Neuss is absolutely positive! Our end users find it very helpful to learn about potential dispensing solutions and test the equipment with their substrates."
