Procurement Analyst

You will be responsible for supporting the operational purchasing needs including issuing and following through on Purchase Orders, liaising with and managing external vendors in support of the plant’s requirements/expectations. You will be working closely with internal stakeholders and external vendors to set up a robust working system which meet the demand and requirement for the product type. You will also be responsible for analysing, validating the spend pattern, formulating and implementing cost-competitive strategies, evaluating the management, financial and technical capabilities of suppliers so as to minimise the company’s risks and liability. You will continuously review the establishment of new and/or quality improvement opportunities for implementation and handle short duration projects as periodically assigned. You will also collate, compile and prepare identified reports for management review.

Requirements

Process Engineer (Woodlands Plant)

As part of a pioneer team to transfer a new technology into Singapore , you will lead the production team in learning and transferring the operational aspects, and contribute to the flawless start-up of the new operation.  Specifically, you are expected to understand and comply with all Corporate and Plant EHS rules/policies/procedures.  You will work closely with USA counterparts to understand critical operational duties and tasks required.  This includes Process & Product Understanding (PPU), establishing the work center document (SOP) system, and initiating Kaizen activities to contribute to the continuous improvement of the operations team.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Masters Degree in Chemistry/Chemical Engineering.

  • Minimum 3 years’ manufacturing experience.  Prior working experience in a chemical compounding/mixing industry preferred.

  • Good communication and organization skills with capability in self-managing projects,

  • Able to work effectively with multi-disciplinary teams
